The Holy Grail of Non-cooks

I don’t use my stove or oven. I haven’t turned on the oven since I moved into my apartment in December, and I only turned one stove burner on once, just to make sure it worked.
I mentioned to my beloved spouse that it would be handy to have something to cover up the stove so I could have more counter space. He did some research on the Internet (that’s his thing) and found the Ultimate Kitchen Accessory for non-cooks: the StoveTopper™ at www.stovetopper.com. It’s a textured metal cover that is cut to fit very precisely pretty much any size stove and comes in several different colors.
I ordered one and got it a couple of days ago. It’s very well made and fits my stove top perfectly. So I turned off the breakers for my stove and oven and set stuff on my new counter space.
On the off-chance that if I ever want to heat something, all I have to do take the stuff off the StoveTopper™, take it off the stove, turn on the breakers, and heat away. It’s wonderful!
(And, as an added bonus, the wonderful lady who comes every three weeks to clean for me will no longer have to dust the burners
)
